The Harry R. Bartlett American Legion Post 89 is once again hard at work preparing for National Wreaths Across America Day in East Haven. This year, the 5th year of Wreaths in East Haven, we will honor over 1265 veterans buried in East Lawn & Green Lawn Cemeteries.
We will join Arlington National Cemetery, and over 4909 participating locations to lay wreaths on National Wreaths Across America day, Saturday, December 13th, 2025.
The Wreaths Across America’s mission is simple: Remember the fallen, Honor those that serve, and Teach the next generation about the value of freedom. In East Haven, our goal is to be able to place a wreath at the grave of each of the veterans interred in our cemeteries, assuring that each veteran is remembered. It is only with the generosity of our community, our veterans and our business community, that we are able to meet this goal.
On behalf of the men and women of Post 89, our volunteers, military families and the Wreaths Across America extended family, we extend our thanks to East Haven and our surrounding communities in supporting our mission and the mission of Wreaths Across America to Remember, Honor and Teach.
