Coffee Club meets every Tuesday from 8:00am - 10:00am at Twin Pines Diner in East Haven. Come by and hang out anytime between 8 and 10! All food and beverages are the member's responsibility. Spouses and significant others welcome!
East Haven Farmer's Market! - Every Sunday thru 9/27!
Come by and see us every Sunday at the East Haven Farmer's Market. We are there from 8am to Noon! We are collecting Wreath Sponsorships and toiletries for Operation Comfort & Joy. Wreaths are $17.00 each! Friends of Post 89 will also be selling raffle tickets for a beautiful 250th Celebration Quilt donated by Friend, Gayle McBurney.
Department of CT American Legion District 2 Meeting - September 9th
The District meeting will be on Wednesday, September 9th at the Fowler Memorial Building at 35 New Haven Avenue in Milford, CT. Meeting starts at 7pm. Uniform is Legion Casual.
Wreaths Across America will be at the Fall Festival & Car Show
Wreaths will be on the EH Green for the Fall Festival on Friday, 9/11, Saturday 9/12 and at the Fall Festival Car Show on Sunday 9/13. Come by and say Hello! If you are interested in working the Wreath Tent, contact Lisa DeCicco at (203) 200-8282.
25th Anniversary of 9/11 (Patriot Day)
East Haven Fire Department ceremony at the Fire Memorial, southwest corner of the East Haven Town Green. Muster approximately 8:30am, ceremony starts at 9:03am.
Color Guard: full dress gray slacks, white shirt, tie, blue jacket
Other Legionnaires: full dress or post casual shirt, Garrison cap

CT Stand Down 2026 - Friday 9/18 from 9:00m - 2:00pm
The Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs is preparing for our annual STAND DOWN event which will be held at six regional locations.
